About Us

Mission

BCHI's mission is to certify medical professionals in the use of the holistic exercise/relaxation Breast Cancer Recovery Program (BCRP) with patients, which has been proven safe and effective through rigorous controlled research. Also, the mission is to help individuals recover from physical and emotional symptoms of breast cancer surgery and breast cancer related lymphedema through the BCRP which is shown to significantly reduce swelling, increase arm flexibility, improve mood and quality of life, and wanted weight loss with increased exercise compliance.

Marjorie McClure is President and founder of Breast Cancer Healing, Inc. (BCHI), which is a 501(c)(3) Pennsylvania nonprofit organization.  Marjorie is a breast cancer survivor and a CLT certified lymphedema therapist with LANA advanced certification by the Lymphedema Association of North America.

BCHI distributes the Breast Cancer Recovery Program.  The BCRP is designed to help individuals recover from breast cancer surgery and breast cancer related lymphedema with an exercise/relaxation program, to reduce swelling, increase arm flexibility, improve mood and quality of life, increase exercise compliance, and increase wanted weight loss.  Dr. Barry Bittman has entered into an agreement with BCHI assigning exclusive use of the FLOW video to BCHI without charge.

The Breast Cancer Recovery Program is appropriate for individuals at risk for developing lymphedema following surgery, as well as those with lymphedema symptoms.  It is appropriate for therapists, who are certified in this program and who are treating lymphedema.
